Product Details
For DESKTOP PCs (PCI/PCIe port) or PORTABLE PCs (miniPCIe / LPC ports) or telephones (USB).
THIS TESTER IS NOT A POPULAR DEVICE - OPENING COMPUTERS IS REQUIRED FOR ITS USE AND INTERPRETATION OF CODES REQUIRES A GOOD LEVEL OF COMPUTING - ENGLISH IS A MUST FOR USING SUCH A TOOL.
Compatible with the vast majority of motherboards, including the latest models.
This tester will enable you to quickly diagnose the origin of a motherboard fault. Note that this model requires strong technician skills, especially for LPC connection. Knowledge of English is also essential, to correctly understand its manual and also to interpret the codes as all POST code databases are in English.
Specifications:
Connection:
- PCI or PCIe directly via the main moduleMain module,
- MiniPCIe or mSATA via the daughterboard connecting to the main module,
- LPC on "DEBUG" connector via T-connector connecting to the main module. This multiple connector supports different types of "DEBUG" port.
- Via EC Wire (for "EC DEBUG" port on Compal, Quanta, Lenovo... PCs) on main module,
- LPC via "fly wire" socket connecting to main module
- USB for telephone.
Once the card has been connected in the chosen mode, you'll read the results on your smartphone, which will be in communication with the tester via bluetooth.
- By means of LEDs on the card, you can check power supplies, CPU, RAM, HDD activity...
- By displaying on your smartphone the POST code of the test that has failed, thus indicating the step to be checked.
Some explanations of the error codes:
When the PC is booted, the card will indicate a code corresponding to the current error. This code comes from the BIOS self-test at PC start-up (Power On Self Test - POST). The richness of the teaching will therefore be proportional to the richness of the motherboard's self-test, depending on the type of BIOS and its generation.
Not all motherboards use the same POST systems, so the tester will not work identically in all situations (for example, on some the POST will be accessible via the PCIe connector, while on others you'll get nothing).
