To mount a ZIF hard disk drive for portable media (e.g. portable hard disk player, or ultra portable PC) in place of a 3.5" hard disk drive on a desktop PC. Features a MASTER/SLAVE Selection jumper

The adapter features a female ZIF plug, with two male-male ZIF ribbon cables (AWM20624, two different thicknesses)
Compatible with ALL WINDOWS and MAC! This adapter lets you use a ZIF-format hard disk for additional storage, or to create a 'Home Cinema' PC with a hard disk that's much quieter than a 3.5" IDE disk! Technicians can also use it to analyze and/or format portable media hard disks, or to recover data. Procedure: 1- Connect the device to the ZIF port of the 'small' hard disk, then connect the 3.5" end to a conventional IDE ribbon cable, which in turn will be connected to your motherboard.
2- Power the adapter by connecting it to a molex socket, then boot up the PC. Your hard disk is now operational!
You can set this new IDE device as master or slave, and even boot on it!!!!
