Converts 12V current to 220V current.
UPS FUNCTION: the inverter is connected to a battery and to mains power. When the mains is active, the inverter operates on the mains and recharges the battery; when the mains is inactive, the inverter operates only on the battery. You can use the UPS inverter as a "normal" inverter if you only connect it to a battery.
The electrical signal emitted by a "pure sine" inverter is smoother than that provided by a conventional inverter (the latter are actually called "quasi-sine"). This is very important for use with inductive devices that are sensitive and/or require a high start-up current (e.g. refrigerator/freezer, pump, washing machine, plasma or LCD screen, computers, measuring equipment, etc.).
