Product Details

A reminder of what a card with a REDRIVER function is:

  • A standard PCIe-to-Oculink card without a REDRIVER is passive: it is simply a connector hub that routes PCIe lines to an SSD or a backplane. It is simple and inexpensive, but has limited cable length and can sometimes be unstable depending on the system
  • A card with a Redriver function incorporates electronics that amplify the signal, particularly at high frequencies. It is more expensive because it is more complex, but essential for long connections. It is also required on certain motherboards that will not work with passive cards (for example, certain Lenovo motherboards).

Compatibility:

The adapter does not require a driver for operation or communication with connected NVMe drives or risers.

Compatible with Windows 7 and later, Mac, Linux, DOS, etc.
