A tester with a professional finish. Combines the advantages of a multimeter with those of a network tester. It can also test both RJ45 "copper" networks and fibre networks, thanks to its VFL function.

Multimeter.

Measures AC and DC voltages and currents, resistances, diodes and continuity. Also measures temperatures.
Tests continuity and maps RJ45 cables.

For CAT5/6 cables, checks UTP/STP cords, indicates discontinuity wire by wire, maximum length tested 3km. Displays the wiring diagram on its screen. You can see if the cable is straight or crossed, for example, or if one of the 8 wires of an RJ45 cable is cut or has a bad contact. Several scanning modes available. Provides continuous fis resistance.
The LCD screen is backlit so it can be read in the dark.

Tests the length of RJ45 cables.
Measures the length of a cable from one end to the other if the cable is functional, or from one end to the breaking point if there is a fault. Choice of two modes: Digital and Analogue.

Complete power supply test (PoE Power Over Ethernet).

For power supplies from 5V to 60V and from 0 to 18W. Identifies which contact is carrying the power supply and provides information on voltage and power supplied. Possibility of testing batteries using the same tool and the adapter supplied.

Flashing and tracking port.
Simulates activity on a cable to flash the LEDs on switches or network cards to identify where the cable is connected.
Thanks to the tracer supplied, you can locate a cable in a group of cables.

Flashlight.
The tracer and the main module have a diode to light up like a torch.

VFL.
Visual Fault Locator for locating optical fibre faults. Power 10mW, range 10km.
