This adapter will enable you to connect a 2012 MACBOOK AIR SSD to a SATA port for use as a hard disk or for data retrieval.
Note: this connector is called either 17+7 or 18+8 pins, there are actually two pairs of soldered pins, some count them as "1" others as "2", they are however the same interface.
This version has a metal socket, its quality and compatibility are superior to the usual version with plastic socket.
Description:
This adapter will ONLY fit 2012 "AIR" or "RETINA" models, it will not fit Mac SSDs produced before or after 2012, nor will it fit 2012 "Pro" MAC SSDs which are larger.
