SATA adapter for SSDs in MAC AIR PRO or RETINA models from 2010, 2011, and 2012 with 8+18 or 6+12 pins

This adapter converts any proprietary Apple SSD from a 2010, 2011, or 2012 Mac into a standard SATA SSD. With its dual slots and ingenious design, it allows you to reuse an Apple SSD in a PC, external enclosure, or any SATA-compatible 2.5-inch drive bay.

Compatibility:

The adapter supports all Apple SATA SSDs from recent Macs prior to 2013:

6+12-pin Apple SSD (MacBook 2010–2011)

Apple 18+8-pin SSD (MacBook Pro / MacBook Air / Mac Pro 2012)

- Compatible with “narrow” SSDs from 2012 Retina Macs

- Compatible with “wide” SSDs from 2012 Mac Pros

A switch located between the two slots allows you to choose which SSD to use.

Note: only one SSD can be active at a time.

Construction & installation:

Mounted on a 2.5" metal chassis, this adapter fits like a traditional hard drive in any standard slot:

The output connector is a standard 15+7-pin SATA connector, consisting of 15 pins (power) + 7 pins (data).
