Features:
This card will enable you to connect USB 3.0 peripherals to a PC that has neither native USB3 ports, nor a PCIe port for adding a USB3 controller card. PCI bandwidth is limited to 133MB per second - i.e. 1Mb/s - capping the speed of the ports at 1Mb/s. This means you won't get the maximum speed of USB3, but rather 2 to 3 times that of USB 2.0. This device uses a PCIe-to-PCI bridge to "mount" USB3 on a single PCI port. This trick may be rejected by some motherboards (it's very rare, but it does happen). Of course, if this were to happen to you, we'd take the board back.
Utilizes an NEC Renesas chipset.
Features 4 external USB 3.0 ports on its bracket. USB "A" type sockets.
Will suit motherboards with PCI 33 or 66MHz standard.
Compatible with USB 3.0 Superspeed 1.0 specifications.
Retro-compatible with earlier USB versions - HighSpeed (480 Mbps), FullSpeed (12 Mbps), and LowSpeed (1.5 Mbps).
Compatible with xHCI 1.0 (Intel eXtensible Host Controller Interface).
Compact electronic board can be mounted in a narrow or wide tower. Supplied with two brackets (high profile mounted on the card and low profile supplied in the box).
Powered via PCI port and power recovery via 4-pin floppy or 15-pin Sata plug on the card (to be connected to the PC power supply).
Pre-installed drivers for Windows 11, 10, 8, Server 2012, Linux kernel 2.6.31 and more. 32/64-bit drivers supplied on CD for Windows 7, Vista, XP and 64bit 2008 R2.
