Use:
To link different electronic devices together (for example, in the world of servers, automation, payment terminals, or more simply to synchronize a camera and a PC), it's often necessary to convert these two standards. This device is capable of converting RS232 to RS-485/422, extending the maximum distance to 1.2km!
Passive, it requires no external power supply (it uses the RS-232 interface to power itself).
Internal circuitry controls the direction of data flow.
In RS-232 use, the software will behave as in RS-485/422 without any change.
Specifications:
Interface compatible with EIA/TIA RS-232C and RS-485/422 standards.
RS-232 side: DB9 Female type connector.
RS-485 side: DB9 male connector with additional connection plate for wire-to-wire connections (we have two identical models in our range, one with a lengthwise plate and the other with a crosswise plate: use the photo in the advert to choose the model that's right for you).
Operates in Half Duplex RS485 / Full Duplex RS422 modes.
Transfer speed from 300 to 115200 bps .
